Hourly Rate: £22.15 Paye OR £29.67 Umbrella Inside Ir35
Onsite: 2 – 3 days per week
Overview
BAE Systems is seeking a motivated and capable Procurement Engineer to join the DASS Sensors Procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering the Phase 4 Enhancement for the Defensive Aids System (DASS) on the Typhoon aircraft, managing critical supplier performance and supporting delivery of strategic project objectives
As Procurement Engineer, you will support the delivery of procurement strategy and project objectives to required cost, quality and schedule targets. You will take ownership of procurement activities and supplier performance, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

As Procurement Engineer, you will support the delivery of procurement strategy and project objectives to required cost, quality and schedule targets. You will take ownership of procurement activities and supplier performance, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills:
- Proven experience in procurement and supplier management
- Experience managing supplier relationships and performance
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across all organisational levels
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications
The Job
- Managing Purchase Orders and payment processes
- Building and maintaining strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Ensuring supplier commitments are met through regular communication and face-to-face performance reviews
- Leading supplier reviews with cross-functional teams
- Supporting customer reviews as required
- Attending and reporting at Senior Operations Reviews on project performance
- Working closely with Project Management and Engineering teams as part of an Integrated Project Team
