Overview
BAE Systems is looking for a Technical Documentation Engineer to join a dynamic Technical Publications team, supporting complex engineering programmes. This is a key role responsible for the creation, validation, and delivery of high-quality technical documentation to support critical systems and operations.

Overview
BAE Systems is looking for a Technical Documentation Engineer to join a dynamic Technical Publications team, supporting complex engineering programmes. This is a key role responsible for the creation, validation, and delivery of high-quality technical documentation to support critical systems and operations.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and validating technical documentation in line with industry and business standards
- Reviewing OEM manuals and conducting detailed editorial analysis
- Ensuring technical data specifications are complete, consistent, and ready for subcontracted production
- Producing integrated training and technical documentation requirements
- Managing configuration-controlled data and maintaining full audit trails
- Liaising with engineering, supply chain, training teams, and external suppliers
- Supporting subcontractors with production specifications and resolving queries
- Ensuring all documentation is delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Experience within technical documentation, engineering support, or information management
- Working knowledge of S1000D
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex documentation challenges
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working collaboratively across engineering and project teams
- Familiarity with tools such as MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, SGML, or similar
