We are supporting BAE Systems in the search for a Finance Systems Analyst to join on a 12-month contract, working within their Finance Systems function.
This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, supporting critical finance platforms and processes while driving improvements in reporting, controls, and system efficiency.
The Role You’ll provide hands-on support across finance systems and the wider finance function, ensuring smooth operation of key processes and supporting business users.

The Role You’ll provide hands-on support across finance systems and the wider finance function, ensuring smooth operation of key processes and supporting business users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting month-end processes to ensure accuracy and timely close
- Preparing and maintaining financial reconciliations
- Monitoring system processes, including overnight calculations
- Managing user access and security assignments
- Acting as a key contact for user support and issue resolution
- Contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives
- Creating and maintaining training materials and process documentation
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes
- Assisting with system upgrades and enhancements
- Experience in a finance or finance systems role
- Strong understanding of month-end, reconciliations, and financial processes
- Exposure to finance systems (SAP, BPC, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan or similar)
- Experience supporting users or working in a systems support environment
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements
- Experience with UAT or system change support is desirable
