Contract: 12 Months
Based: Glascoed, NP15 1XL
Hourly Rate: Rate: £28ph PAYE OR £37.61 Umbrella inside IR35
37 hours across a 4 day shift pattern Mon-Thurs 7:15 - 5pm with Fridays off
  
  
Overview
BAE Systems is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Engineering team at Glascoed. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to the development, manufacture and support of innovative products within a multi-disciplined engineering environment
  
Skills:

• HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in manufacturing process development.
• Understanding of project management and risk management tools and techniques.
• Awareness of automated process control systems.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.

  
The Job

• Developing new manufacturing processes in line with engineering plans, budgets and customer requirements.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes are robust, cost-effective and capable of achieving long-term process stability.
• Supporting process risk management activities, including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), process control plans and Safe Systems of Work.
• Specifying, commissioning and qualifying new manufacturing equipment while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Coordinating development activities to generate the data required to support process understanding, equipment selection and material processing requirements.
• Managing project process data, including trial results, specifications, drawings, certification and safety documentation through Product Lifecycle Management systems.
