Project Control Lead
Contract: 12 Months
Based: Warton BAE
Hourly Rate: £30.54 PAYE / £41.06 Umbrella inside IR35
4 day on site per week
37 hours Monday - Friday
  
Overview
Working closely with the Project Management & Control Manager, you'll lead project control activities, drive continuous improvement, and provide valuable insight that supports informed decision-making across the programme.
  
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead Project Control activities across the Spartan project throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement effective project control processes, reporting, and governance.
  • Produce high-quality project reporting using project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Support key financial activities including monthly Contract Status Reviews, period reforecasting, quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs), and forecasting.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, finance teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate planning and control.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities alongside the Change & Risk Project Manager.
  
Key Skills
  • Strong experience delivering Project Control activities within complex projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Project Control methodologies, processes, and toolsets.
  • Experience with project planning, monitoring, forecasting, reporting, scheduling, risk, and resource management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear management information.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and building strong working relationships across multiple teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound recommendations based on project data.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent organisational skills.
