Rate: £39.51 PAYE or £53.25 umbrella inside ir35
Overview
Are you an experienced Aerodynamicist looking to work on some of the UK's most advanced aerospace programmes?
BAE Systems is seeking a talented Senior Aerodynamicist to join their Flight Sciences Engineering team, where you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions across current and future air platforms.
Please note you must be a Sole UK national and eligible for SC clearance

Key Responsibilities
- Provide aerodynamic engineering support across a wide range of current and future BAE Systems Air programmes.
- Undertake aerodynamic research, design, computational analysis, simulation and testing.
- Support flight clearance activities for complex air vehicles.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of aerodynamic toolsets and digital engineering capabilities.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, research organisations and engineering partners.
- Ensure engineering activities are delivered in accordance with company governance, quality standards and Agile ways of working.
- Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.
Key Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience within an aerodynamics research or industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in one or more specialist aerodynamic disciplines.
- Experience working collaboratively with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Aerospace Engineering or another relevant STEM discipline.
