Rate: £60.63 paye or £81.90 umbrella inside ir35
Security - BPSS + full SC, Subject to ITAR and UK eyes only

Overview
This is a hands-on technical role focused on the design, development, integration and test of electronic hardware, covering both new product development and technology insertion into existing/legacy products
Key Responsibilities
- Designing electronic circuits, including component selection, evaluation, simulation and schematic capture.
- Developing and supporting electronic hardware solutions from concept through to completion.
- Working with PCB design teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.
- Specifying bespoke electronic hardware and supporting procurement activities.
- Carrying out design verification through simulation, analysis and practical testing.
- Supporting EMC testing, system integration and customer installations where required.
- Producing high-quality design documentation, technical reports and engineering evidence.
- Supporting the development of system-level designs and technical requirements.
- Working closely with embedded software and FPGA/CPLD engineers.
We’re interested in engineers with strong practical electronics design experience, particularly across areas such as:
- Digital electronics, including processor interfaces, memory devices, PLDs, UART, SPI, I²C and Ethernet.
- Analogue electronics, including op-amps, transistor-level design, control loops and low-noise techniques.
- ADC/DAC devices and associated design techniques.
- High-power electronic design and associated techniques.
- Design proving, integration, verification and defect resolution.
- Producing evidence to demonstrate acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative compliance and safety.
- Delivering engineering work within defined cost and timescale constraints
