Banking Branch Manager
Location: Poulton-le-Fylde (with occasional travel to Barrow-in-Furness)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Monday to Friday - 8:45am - 5pm - Occasional work on weekends
Outsource UK are recruiting a Branch Manager to lead a customer-focused branch team and support the delivery of an ambitious Direct Distribution Strategy.
This is a key leadership role for an experienced branch professional who is passionate about delivering excellent customer outcomes, driving business growth, and building strong community partnerships. You will ensure the branch is a visible and trusted hub within the local area, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, operational risk management, and service delivery.

You will ensure the branch is a visible and trusted hub within the local area, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, operational risk management, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks in line with the organisation’s risk framework and regulatory expectations
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with policies, processes, conduct rules and regulatory guidelines
- Drive performance against agreed objectives and support the delivery of annual business goals
- Ensure branch manager controls are completed in line with the Control Manual
- Maintain overall responsibility for branch quality assurance checks
- Understand and apply Consumer Duty principles to ensure consistently positive customer outcomes
- Handle member/customer complaints in line with procedure, providing summary resolutions and escalating where appropriate
- Build and maintain relationships within the local community, developing partnerships and identifying opportunities to grow presence and reputation
- Support business development activity to strengthen brand awareness and generate new opportunities
- Lead, coach and develop the branch team to foster accountability, service excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure HR and people records are accurately maintained (sickness, annual leave, performance reviews and annual appraisals)
- Promote a positive, inclusive and professional working environment
- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
- Proven experience in a branch leadership or management role (financial services desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with a “right first time” approach
- Sound awareness of market opportunities and a clear focus on achieving growth targets
- Confident handling complaints and supporting fair customer outcomes
- Leadership and management qualification is desirable (but not essential)
- Competitive salary of £30,000 – £35,000
