Customer Assistant – Branch Network
Salary: £24,000
Location: Preston
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 am till 5 pm, plus Saturday work. This is normally around 1 Saturday per month
Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services organisation for a Member Assistant to join their Branch Network team in Preston.
This is a customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional service, and supporting members with their savings, mortgage and digital banking needs. You’ll help create a welcoming and professional branch environment, ensuring every member receives a positive experience.
This is more than a transactional role — it’s about being a trusted point of contact, supporting the local community, and contributing to wider branch success.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks in line with internal risk frameworks and regulatory expectations
- Carry out all activities in line with company policies, procedures and conduct rules
- Ensure mandatory online training and refresher learning is completed and up to date
- Support delivery of annual objectives by meeting and exceeding individual goals
- Provide outstanding face-to-face customer service within the branch
- Promote and support digital services and platforms
- Engage with local community initiatives and events
- Understand and apply Consumer Duty principles to ensure positive member outcome
- Handle customer complaints in line with internal complaint procedures, escalating where appropriate
- Provide support across the wider branch network, including sickness and holiday cover when required
- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with a “right first time” mindset
- Confident working towards targets and supporting growth objectives
- Professional, proactive and customer-focused approach
