Network Integration Engineer
12 Month Contract
Based: Christchurch
Hourly Rate: £53.73 PAYE or £72.54 Umbrella inside IR35
37 Hours per week
Onsite Monday – Friday

Overview
BAE Systems are recruiting for an Integration Engineer to join the Digital Intelligence team. Working within C5ISR, you will play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge IT and networking solutions that support communications, planning, operations, and cyber protection capabilities
  
Responsibilities
  • Producing high- and low-level network designs
  • Building and configuring solutions involving radios, hardware, and software
  • Integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technologies
  • Applying systems engineering best practices
  • Fault finding and resolving technical issues in development environments
  • Creating clear and concise technical documentation
  • Reporting progress and collaborating with team members and leadership
  • Conducting testing and verification against requirements
  
Skills & Experience
  • Installation and configuration of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
  • Understanding of routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, RIP)
  • Experience producing technical documentation
  • Network design experience to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to work independently
  • Virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Linux KVM)
  • Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows
  • Systems integration and rig management
