PLC Control Systems Engineer
Location: Glascoed, Pontypool, BAE Systems
Working Arrangements: 3 days a week onsite
Contract: 6-12 Months (37 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £27.44 PAYE or £36.85 Umbrella

Role Overview:
- Define and implement control system requirements for new machinery.
- Develop and validate processes that are robust, safe, and cost-effective.
- Specify, qualify, and commission new equipment in line with regulatory and safety standards.
- Modify PLC/HMI/SCADA programs and other programmable devices.
- Conduct and document Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) activities.
- Provide expert input into tendering, commissioning, and qualification processes.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience with PLC systems (ideally TIA and Simatic Manager).
- Strong knowledge of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) and related methodologies.
- A minimum HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic / Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
