Overview
As part of the Infrastructure Category Team, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end procurement for major Manufacturing Equipment projects across our Samlesbury and Warton sites
Skills
- A strong background in procurement or supply chain, ideally with experience in manufacturing equipment or construction categories
- Solid understanding of contract law and commercial terms, with strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word
- Ideally, 5+ years of procurement experience, and CIPS accreditation
The Job
- Leading procurement activity for capital equipment and manufacturing infrastructure
- Developing and executing strategic procurement and contracting plans
- Preparing RFPs and pre-qualification documents, and leading competitive tenders
- Collaborating with internal SMEs and stakeholders to assess bids and select suppliers
- Drafting and negotiating robust, commercially sound contracts
- Delivering cost savings and value through effective supplier management
- Visiting supplier sites and evaluating capabilities where required
- Continuously seeking process improvements and innovation
