Procurement Professional
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Contract Length: 12 Month Contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid 3-4 days a week onsite
Salary: £23.70 per hour PAYE or £31.78 via umbrella (Inside IR35)
Join BAE Systems as a Procurement Professional and play a key role in delivering high-quality, on-time and cost-effective procurement activity that supports our world-class submarine programmes. You'll manage end-to-end procurement for Initial Provisioning of Base Spares, drive supplier performance, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across the supply chain.

You'll manage end-to-end procurement for Initial Provisioning of Base Spares, drive supplier performance, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across the supply chain.
What you'll be doing:
- Plan, execute and monitor procurement and subcontracting activity with minimal supervision
- Source, negotiate, place and manage contracts across the full supply chain lifecycle
- Manage subcontract changes and resolve supply issues proactively
- Maintain accurate SAP eDMS / Teamcenter records
- Monitor and improve supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery
- Build and develop strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
- Support supplier improvement plans and drive continuous improvement activity
- Contribute to wider business change and improvement projects
- Experience in procurement or supply chain roles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP / Purchase Order systems
- Ability to manage contracts in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel when required
- CIPS qualification - Preferred
