Manufacturing Engineer – Process Planning Machining / Fabrications
Contract: 12 Months
Based: Warton
Hourly rate:  £27.78 PAYE or £39.89 Umbrella inside IR35
Onsite: 3-4 days per week  
Full time – 37 hours per week
  
We are currently recruiting on behalf of BAE Systems for a Manufacturing Engineer – Process Planning (Machining / Fabrications) to join their Engineering team at Falcon Works.
  
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting the translation of engineering design into robust, safe and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  
Skills:
  • Experience within machining and fabrication manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of sub-assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Previous experience within aerospace or other highly regulated engineering industries.
  • Experience using engineering tools such as NX, CATIA V5, PLM systems, SAP CAM / Shop Floor Manager (SFM), CDP or VAS.
  
  
The Job
  • Translating CAD models, engineering drawings and specifications into clear manufacturing methods and planning documentation.
  • Developing manufacturing plans covering component manufacturing, sub-assemblies and build assembly structures.
  • Processing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM/MBOM) aligned with design configuration.
  • Identifying tooling and NC programming requirements to support production.
  • Providing shop floor and build line support to operations teams.
  • Managing and implementing engineering and design changes within manufacturing documentation.
