We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Accountant to join the Orders to Receipts team within the Air Project Finance Capability Centre at BAE Systems. This role has been created to support key projects, including F35 Production, Development, and T45, by addressing a backlog of financial activities.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Investigate finance system data and resolve outstanding items
- Analyse system information to identify and recommend corrective actions
- Support root cause analysis and contribute to process improvements
- Work closely with finance teams and wider stakeholders to complete activities
- Maintain a structured plan to deliver tasks accurately and on time
- Provide clear updates on progress, risks, and issues
- Assist in developing robust processes for future operations
- Experience working with finance systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload
- Clear and confident communicator across all levels
- Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Highly organised with a focus on quality and deadlines
- Hybrid working: 3 days onsite
- Monday – Samlesbury
- Tuesday – Warton
- Wednesday/Thursday – flexible site location
- Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
- Flexible start/finish times within site operating hours
