Scrum Master Lead
Contract: 12 Months
Based: Warton
Hourly Rate:  £45.65 PAYE or £61.57 Umbrella inside IR35
4 days onsite per week
37 hours Monday - Friday
  
Overview
BAE Systems are an experienced Scrum Master Lead to join the Dreadnought Programme, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge technology at the heart of the UK's future defence capability.

The job will include:
  • Lead and support multiple Scrum teams, ensuring Agile best practices are embedded throughout delivery.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine requirements and maintain a well-prioritised product backlog.
  • Remove delivery impediments and enable teams to focus on delivering value.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Scrum teams and junior Scrum Masters, helping to increase Agile maturity across the organisation.
  • Foster a psychologically safe, collaborative environment where challenges can be openly discussed and resolved.
  • Use delivery metrics and team data to identify trends, measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and encourage effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Champion Lean and Agile principles while supporting the successful delivery of programme objectives.
  
Key Skills
  • 5+ years' experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with experience leading or mentoring other Scrum Masters.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile, Lean and traditional delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing multiple Scrum teams within medium to highly complex programmes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence (Atlassian Suite), SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to remove obstacles, influence stakeholders and adapt quickly within a fast-paced environment.
Essential
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Scrum Master certification.
