Taking care of everything, for everyone
We are pleased to announce the details of the fifth event in our Diversity Matters: Inspiring Inclusion in the Workplace series… and this time, we’re in Birmingham!
- Are you embarking on a targeted hiring programme?
- Are you looking at returners, ex-military veterans, women in traditionally male roles, or neurodiverse individuals
- Have you identified barriers to the inclusion of BAME, disabled, or older workers within your organisation?
- Or are you planning your 2020 Inclusion strategy?
Come along to Outsource UK Diversity Matters: Inspiring Inclusion in the Workplace on 12th February 2020 and hear from our esteemed speakers, who’ll be sharing case studies and lived experiences, and addressing the importance of physical and psychological inclusion for all.
So what can a specialist recruiter such as Outsource do to help raise awareness?
To ensure that everyone gets a fair chance, we work with business leaders to develop equitable hiring processes.
We believe that adopting genuinely inclusive recruitment practices requires businesses to support people from all walks of life in their career searches. After all, achieving total inclusion means considering EVERYONE.
We've put together a bespoke Insights Audit Programme, to help businesses make a difference with a tailor-made approach.
We also hold regular Diversity Matters Meetup events and we'd love you to join us for drinks, nibbles and great networking. Have a look at the amazing panel for our last Meetup, and contact us to be notified of our next Diversity Matters event. Or better still, sign up for our mailing list!
Here's Christy McBride talking about why Inclusion is important to her, at our recent event, in collaboration with National Cyber Security Centre:
We regularly speak at conferences and events on Inspiring Women in Technology - read a recent testimonial from the Royal Signals:
"Your support and enthusiasm really made the Inspiring Women event a success" - Major Vanessa Freestone, Royal Signals
And a recent testimonial from CRA Risk regarding their Annual Forum:
"Rosie Anderson and the team from Outsource UK came to CRA’s Risk Forum in October 2017 to bring the conference up to date with the need to consider women when recruiting. Their talk made us all aware of skills shortages, gender imbalance and government reporting requirements. Perhaps more importantly, we are now far more conscious of the unintentional gender bias often creating barriers in education and employment. Their message is a valuable one for employers wishing to maximise their recruitment and retention rates in areas of skills shortage."
And the Employment Partner from Royds Withy King legal practice and convenor of CIPD in the South West:
"We were delighted to welcome Claire to speak at a Swindon and North Wiltshire CIPD event to speak about Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace. Claire’s presentation was thought provoking and inspiring, and raised lots of relevant issues and considerations for our members attending the event. Claire was an excellent, dynamic speaker, and clearly very knowledgeable in her field. The audience were fully engaged from start to finish, and we received excellent feedback."
In addition, we are a Disability Confident Committed employer and also a signatory of the Tech Talent Charter, encouraging more diversity in the technology industry.
